My Story
Carla Sapsford earned a double masters from Columbia University in 2003, in Journalism and International Affairs. She holds a bachelors in International Relations from Wellesley College. For the 15 years post-graduating, she worked as a journalist and in public affairs and communications in the Netherlands, Malaysia and Singapore. She has been published in the Boston Globe, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Columbia Journalism Review, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting and the New York Daily News.
Her published writing includes ‘At Ground Zero: 25 Stories from Young Reporters Who Were There', an interview with Nobel Prize Winner Maria Ressa, a series for the UN Environment agency on global trendsetters in climate change mitigation and a report for the United Nations on the use of gaming technology as a pathway to teach urban design. She currently lives in Houston with her family.
